Real Time Web-Based Environmental Monitoring Networks
Interactive Oceanographics introduces new web site to celebrate a decade of monitoring and cooperation with the National Museum of Natural History in Washington DC. Ten years earlier we began transmitting environmental data in real time to the Internet from an automated ocean & weather monitoring system established at a remote marine laboratory in Belize. The system measures conditions on the Mesoamerican Barrier Coral Reef and serves as an important resource for scientists and environmental managers to understand changes to the health of the reefs.

nowCOAST is a GIS web mapping portal providing links to thousands of real-time coastal observations, NOAA forecasts, and NOAA weather data and products of interest to the marine community. Working with NOAA's nowCoast developers, Interactive Oceanographics designed and implemented a linking mechanism allowing nowCoast users to access our custom real time monitoring web sites.
